![]() The variety of solutions ensure safe, efficient, and ergonomic manual valve operations for Northern Lights, the world’s first open-source CO2 transport and storage infrastructure. More to come on this transformative journey, as we work together towards a cleaner, greener future! Read more about this project: ![]() ![]() ►To guarantee the safe operation of hard-to-reach manual valves, we provided the FlexiDrive remote valve operator that allows remote operation of a bleed valve from outside of a culvert. The Sofis KMS enables the CO2 storage infrastructure to increase safety and functionality, by restricting access to safety critical systems only to authorized personnel on site. ►To support operator efficiency and enhance site safety we delivered an innovative Key Management System (KMS). ►To ensure safe isolation of pressure relief valves and prevent over-pressurization of heat exchangers, we provided our Sofis valve interlocking systems. Another challenge arised with a difficult to reach valve. Sofis collaborated directly with Aker Solutions & Equinor, to help create a solution for guaranteeing safe operations during valve maintenance of pressure safety valves and heat exchangers.Įxpertise of Sofis was required for an application concerning heat exchangers and pressure safety valves (PSV), a valve used to protect pressure piping and pressure vessels from over pressuring. The plant will be operated from Equinor's facilities at the Sture terminal in Øygarden and the subsea facilities from Oseberg A platform in the North Sea. From there, the liquified CO2 will be transported by pipeline to an offshore storage location subsea in the North Sea, for permanent storage. The full-scale project includes capture of CO2 from industrial capture sources in the Oslofjord region (cement and waste-to-energy) and shipping of liquid CO2 from these industrial capture sites to an onshore terminal on the Norwegian west coast. The Northern Lights project aims to facilitate large-scale carbon capture and storage (CCS) and is the world’s first open-source CO2 transport and storage infrastructure. Introducing our joint contribution to the Northern Lights project, a pivotal component of Norway's ambitious full-scale CCS project known as "Longship"! ![]() Guarantee safe furnace cracking processes - Sofis valve operation □Companies who want to manage their steam cracking operation successfully and safely will benefit from applying valve interlock systems to guarantee cracking furnace safety. By integrating valve interlocking systems with pre-existing systems, you can future-proof your plant for many years to come, extending and enhancing your operation.įind out more! #processsafety #cracking #futureproof With plants carrying several different systems, equipment of different ages, and staff with differing levels of abilities and training, there is always a threat of failure in procedures. Furnaces are operating continuously, and these differing furnaces may need different switchover operations. A complicating and risk-increasing factor in plants that have been upgraded and expanded over time, is the existence of different generations of cracking furnaces on-site. Steam cracking processes are at the heart of any refinery or petrochemical operations. If you see anything other than 64-bit, download the 32-bit version of the software.❓How can you guarantee safe cracking furnace procedures in upgraded plants? In the Start menu, right click on Computer, then select Properties and your type of operating system will be displayed onscreen. Your type of operating system will be displayed onscreen. Type Computer into the search field, then right click on it and select Properties. Move your mouse to the upper right side of the screen and click on the search tool that appears. Right click on the This PC option that displays, then select Properties and your type of operating system will be displayed onscreen. In the Start menu, type This PC into the Windows search bar, but don’t hit enter. How to know if you have the 32 or 64-bit version Not sure which one you have? Follow the steps in our chart below. Download the 32-bit version if you have a 32-bit operating system. Download the 64-bit version of the software if you have a 64-bit operating system (most users).
